I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

Linda Lee McDermott, 67, of Ronan, MT, entered the gates of heaven to join the party she was anxiously awaiting on Feb. 3rd 2018.

The daughter of a Navy man, Linda was born on September 21, 1950 in Bermuda to Paul and Betty Brackensick.  Linda spent most of her early years in California with her family of six brothers and sisters.  She moved to Ronan, Montana in 1983 with her husband, William McDermott III, and her two sons.

Linda worked at Community Bank for many years and retired at the end of 2016.  Linda loved the Lord and spent much of her free time volunteering for the church, helping with kids ministries, Bible camps and other activities.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking and spending time with her family and friends, especially all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

Linda was humble and selfless. She was slow to ask for help, but quick to give it. She always made time for everyone in her life.  She loved to help out those in need and touched many people in her lifetime.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Betty Brackensick, her former husband, William McDermott III, her sister in-law Jan Brackensick and her brother in-law Alan Largent.

She is survived by her two sons, William (Roxy) and Neal (Roxi); her siblings, Kathy (Royce), Buddy, Rosie (Alan), Harold (Sharon), Liz, Brenda; and all the children in her life, Scott (Noelle), Carole, Jacinda, Kruz, Kylie, Reagan, Katie, Mekya, Saphria, Karlie, Jayceon, Ismiya, Mac, Cohen, Cecelia, and McCoy.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Terrace Lake Community Church (35663 Terrace Lake Rd E, Ronan, MT) on Saturday February 10th at 11am.

My deepest condolences to the family. Remember you are not alone at this difficult time. "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress."
