Carl Resner

December 31, 1932 — September 28, 2016

Carl M. Resner, 83, formerly of Ronan, passed away Sept. 28, 2016, at his residence in Missoula. He was born and raised on a farm northwest of Charlo and graduated from Charlo High School. He worked in Missoula and also in California. Carl enlisted in the United States Air Force and did his tour in Japan. In 1954, he married Thelma Krantz, and was sent to Elgin Field in Florida where he re-enlisted and was sent to Malstrom Air Force Base in Montana. He put twenty years into military service. Following his military service, he went to work for Lake County for 16 years as an appraiser until retiring.

Carl’s wife, Thelma; his parents, Carl B. and Eunice; sisters, Irene and Helen; and brothers, Andy, Benny, Herb, Kenny and Leonard, and two nieces, precede Carl in death.

Carl’s sister Margaret King Dixon; his daughter Debbie and her husband Bill and family; his son Michael and his wife Pamela and family; nieces, Sharon, Judy, Kim and Linda; and numerous other relatives in the valley survive him.

At his request, only military graveside services will be held and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Krantz Memorial Cemetery.
