Carl Jay Wall

Carl “Jay” Wall, age 85, passed away January 30, 2024. He was born March 25, 1938, right across from Flathead Lake in Polson, MT to Lyle and Dorothy (Calta) Wall. In fact, his mom had a hard time keeping him out of the lake. When he was a toddler, he was always sneaking off and was found wading in the lake. 

Jay attended Polson grade school and graduated from Polson High School in 1957. He served two years in the National Guard and four years in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Bon Homme Richard CVA-31. He played Santa Claus for 50 years all over Lake county. Jay is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ronan.

Jay is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, his sisters, Joyce and Laura, and his wife, Evonne of the home in Ronan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Donna.

A burial will take place at Western Montana State Veteran’s Cemetery in Missoula, MT.
