Leslie Shepard

Leslie Ember “Les” Shepard, age 79, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his residence. He was born on October 24, 1938 in Ronan to Archibald and Beatrice (Harrison) Shepard. He was the youngest of twelve children.

He was raised and educated in Ronan and the Tri-Cities of Washington. He was married to Della M. Wolf on April 2, 1960. After they were married, they lived in Missoula and later moved to Arlee. Les worked as a millwright for many years at Champion Mills until his retirement. Following his retirement, Les enjoyed his daily coffee times with his friends, auctions and rummage sales. Della passed away on April 10, 2000.

He was preceded in death by his wife Della, his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his three children, two granddaughters, Alyssa and Brittney, two step-grandchildren, Vincent and Bianca Sias, 5 great –grandchildren, two sisters Babe and Bernice and one brother Lee as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Les will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Shrider – Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ronan Cemetery.
