Lindsey Ann Tryon, age 28, was born on July 5, 1997, in Ronan, MT, to Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Amie Tryon, the oldest of four children. She was raised on a farm in the Post Creek area where she developed a strong love for animals. She attended school in Charlo, where she participated in multiple sports, Business Professionals of America, 4-H, and was a member of the Honor Society. Following her graduation in 2015, Lindsey pursued her interest in animals, attending Montana State University and earning her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.
Lindsey was an artist, teacher, and animal lover. She was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting and drawing. Lindsey also enjoyed children, many of which called her “auntie”, and had a close relationship with her nephew, Kylo. As a 4-H counselor, she looked forward to creating fun activities for campers and won the camp spirit stick for her work. Following college and an extended stay in Bozeman, Lindsey returned home to work with high school students as an Upward Bound Instructor for Salish Kootenai College. Over the last two years, she developed deep connections with her students and often talked about how proud she was of them. She also reconnected with her 4-H roots, serving as a club leader for the past two years. Farm life sparked and fed her love for nurturing animals; there was no job that was too dirty or unpleasant to keep Lindsey from diving in to take care of an animal.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tryon; aunt Susie and uncle Kevin Loughlin; and her uncle Duane (Dewey) Tryon.
She is survived by her father and mother, Paul and Amie Tryon; her sisters Ashley (nephew Kylo) and Shelby, and brother Bowen; her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Sandra Mathes; aunt and uncles: Marian Tryon; Sandy (Scott) Carey; Shirley Tryon (Les Simshaw); Sara (Tim) Schauss; Sherri (Bill) Hocker; Dana (Margo) Tryon; Tiffany Tryon; Adam (Jessica) Mathes; uncle Matt (Jennie) Mathes; and numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins, and their families, all of whom she loved.
Lindsey was a talented, loving, and spirited daughter, granddaughter, auntie, cousin, and friend, who we will also miss.
