Susan Loughlin

October 17, 1957 — June 22, 2022

Susan Marie "Susie" Loughlin passed away June 22, 2022, at St. Luke Community Hospital at 64 from a courageous battle with cancer. Susie was born October 17, 1957, to her mother, Patricia, and father Eddy Tryon. She was raised at the family ranch in Post Creek along with her seven siblings. Susie attended school in Saint Ignatius and moved to Alaska after graduation. She returned home to begin working with the tribe on September 24, 1980, where she worked for more than 41 years.

Susie enjoyed spending time in her garden, planting flowers, and time spent with her family and her loving grandchildren. She was an incredible person to many with a huge heart and always found a way to let others know how much she cared. She enjoyed helping others and donating to charities. Susie will remain forever in the hearts and minds of family and friends.

As life went on, her family grew with grandchildren. Susie made it back to Alaska several times to visit her daughter and family. Even though she could not remain with us for another day, she would not wish for us to feel sorrow but rather the sunshine of tomorrow.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kevin Loughlin, parents Patricia and Eddy Tryon, and her dear beloved Aunt Bev. As a sophomore in High School, her mother tragically passed away, leaving her to care for her younger siblings. Despite the sacrifices, Susie was relentless and successful in her home and career.

Susie leaves her son Patrick Bellmore, daughter-in-law Katie Bellmore, daughter Randi Shrider, son-in-law James Shrider and all six of her beautiful grandchildren; Alexandria Loughlin, Augustus Shrider, Susan Shrider, Kathryn Shrider, James Shrider, and Cooper Shrider; and numerous nieces and nephews who had special relationships with “Aunt Susie.”

She is survived by her loving siblings, Dewey Tryon (Marion), Sandy Carey (Scott), Shirley Tryon (Les), Sarah Schauss (Tim), Sherri Hocker (Bill), Dana Tryon (Margo), Paul Tryon (Amie), and her half-sister Tiffany Tryon.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all family members and friends who have been a part of Susie's life.

Funeral services for Susie will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Pablo Christian Church in Pablo, with burial to follow services at Ronan Cemetery. Reception at Leon Hall.
